Senior Cloud Integration Engineer

The purpose of the task order is to support the Office of Inspector General’s Cloud Integration Services by providing professional service personnel to deliver quality and comprehensive IT support to the OIG in an effective and efficient manner with a vision to maintain IT operations commensurate with industry best practices, while ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of OIG data.

OIG is seeking two Senior Integration Engineers to provide expert support for ongoing operations of Cloud Integration Services and other related areas and project work for all OIG systems.

Responsibilities

Senior Integration Engineer shall provide support services in the following areas:

• Test, integrate and deploy Microsoft 365 solutions
• Design, plan, and integrate Microsoft 365 based solutions using Microsoft best practices and modern deployment techniques such as DevOps and/or DevSecOps
• Perform Tier 1 through Tier 4 support and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 solutions
• Develop and conduct testing of Microsoft 365 based solutions
• Develop automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations of Microsoft 365 based solutions
• Drive continuous improvement and adoption of best practices to simplify, standardize and consolidate the Microsoft 365 solutions wherever it makes sense, to include tools to ensure ease of use for organization
• Design, plan, and integrate Azure-based solutions using infrastructure as code and modern cloud-native deployment techniques such as DevOps and/or DevSecOps into IaaS, PaaS and SaaS environments
• Support Azure Account management and billing optimization
• Identify opportunities for optimization of Cloud / Azure environment
• Develop and conduct testing of Azure-based applications and solutions
• Develop automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations of Azure-based solutions
• Maintain technical expertise in relevant industry standards and best practices in Azure-based solutions
• Perform Tier 1 through Tier 4 support and troubleshooting of Azure solutions
• Provide testing and deployment support for integrated solutions designed by Lead Architect
• Evaluate and report on new Azure technologies and services to enhance capabilities of services.
• Provide overall Microsoft 365 and Azure deployments governance in the areas of performance monitoring, identity management, security, manageability, subscriptions-based workload separation, landing zones, etc
• Integrate Microsoft 365 and Azure environments into Azure Sentinel, Azure log analytics and other SEIM solutions
• Provide support for on-premises technologies in a predominantly Microsoft technology-based environment, such as VMware, HyperV, DNS, DHCP, Windows Server 2012 and above, Redhat Linux, direct attached and network attached enterprise storage, SQL server 2014 and above, backups, etc

Qualifications

Senior Integration Engineer must have:

• US citizen and possess a Top-Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related IT field
• Ten (10) years of experience in support of Windows/Linux/Unix operating systems for classified and unclassified networks
• Preferred but not necessary, having certifications in the areas of Microsoft Azure and 365
• Demonstrated experience working with:
  • networking administration, including DNS, subnetting, and firewalls and ACLs
  • Cloud Command Line Interfaces and Cloud SDKs
  • automated patch management for both Windows and UNIX-based systems using configuration management tools
  • defining and implementing secure solutions between on-premise data centers and government clouds
  • federated identity solutions in cloud environment
  • integrating secure cloud configurations into on premise SIEM
  • installing operating systems and application software in cloud compute environments
  • monitoring cloud-based systems and components for availability, performance, reliability, security, and efficiency
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in cloud integration engineering with specific experience performing:
• Azure migration DevOps, or administration
• cloud automation and scripting software development, infrastructure, or Cloud operations role; and
• designing, implementing, or consulting with applications deployed in hybrid Cloud environments
