DeLaval is Hiring a Remote Technical Support Specialist (Waunakee, WI / Kansas City MO / Remote (8407)
- Conduct technical assistance for robotic milking equipment on rotary milking platforms.
- Supporting DeLaval herd management software and related equipment; including farm networks.
- Manage support of new product installations and product updates.
- Provide technical, classroom-based training for field staff and dealer employees
- Be part of an on-call rotation to provide support.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Strong customer focus, with a sense of urgency to resolve problems or issues
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, VFDs, PLCs, and control systems.
- Knowledge of computer networking.
- Strong communicator
- Work cross-functionally; can function well as a member of a team
- Ability to manage large amounts of information
- 20% travel required- Remote based employees will travel more.
- B.A./B.S. in Agricultural Equipment, Software Application and/or Engineering helpful but not required
- 2-4 years of experience working with dairy equipment is beneficial
- Understanding of dairy cow udder physiology and dairy milking systems helpful
- Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
