Specialty Restaurants Corporation: Jobs is Hiring an Assistant General Manager - The Proud Bird Near Los Angeles, CA

Summary:

The Proud Bird Bazaar and Event Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. Located in Los Angeles, The Proud Bird is a unique destination that combines a vibrant bazaar with a versatile event space, offering guests a one-of-a-kind experience.
Pay: $78000 - $88000 / year
plus bonus
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless service and a 5-star guest experience.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize service standards, streamline processes, and maintain an exceptional dining experience.
  • Train and supervise dining room and bar staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and uphold our restaurant's high standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring proper stock levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation, timely service, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and promotional activities to attract new customers and increase revenue.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment throughout the restaurant.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager in budget planning, cost control, and financial management.
Qualifications:
  • 4 years' experience in a similar level managerial role in a high-volume restaurant environment is required.
  • Private Events/Banquet experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns.
  • Solid knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
  • Social media savvy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office and restaurant management software.
