Del Monte Fresh Produce NA is Hiring a Sales Specialist Near Coral, FL

Purpose of Position:

This position will be responsible for assisting the Product Management and Sales Department. In this role, will also support the Product Coordination team, and will function as a liaison between the corporate office and internal/external vendors and services providers.

Accountabilities:

  • Assist Product management team on:
  • East and West coast inventory daily inventory update, manifest upload, order shipping and allocation maintenance.
  • Updating vessel and manifest tracker for Peru and Chile import season.
  • Assist on uploading of contracts for approval (if needed)
  • Process invoice/payments for year-round Fruit purchases made by grape team.
  • Process invoices for 3rd party service for our Blueberry program and West coast operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating purchases database and Operational invoices tracker.
  • Coordination of new vendors information with compliance, Food safety and payables department for setup in Del Monte system, includes follow thru on information needed to stay current in yearly basis including updated company admin information.
  • Coordination and processing of payment for grape and blueberry invoices. Includes generating and maintenance of payables log as invoices are processed. Requires weekly follow up with AP department for payments to be made in a timely manner.
  • Assist on communication of claims to grower/shipper/ vendor when quality issues arise during import and purchases.
  • Coordination of forms and documentation between new customers and Del Monte’s AR department.
  • Assist on customer profile maintenance.
  • Assist on sending customers sales confirmations and invoices on a day to day basis and provide sales team reports of daily sales for review and invoicing.
  • Assist sales team to reconcile files with claims due for quality condition, pricing or operational issues.
  • Responsible for running daily/weekly reports – USDA Market reports on grape commodity, sales Summaries, inventory reports for East and West warehouses during direct import program.
  • Run reports in Produce Pro, Power BI as needed.
  • Prepare weekly sales and inventory reports for internal stakeholders as requested.
  • Responsible for generating USDA Market reports with season long benchmarking data.
  • Responsible for assisting Sales team to generate Del Monte grapes historical sales and
  • Special projects, reports, assignments and other admin duties as required.

Minimum Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 to 3 years prior experience in a similar role (e.g. customer service, project coordination, sales assistant etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical and communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
  • Must be detail-oriented, and able to multi-task on a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous administrative, accounting coordination experience preferred.
  • Able to work well under minimal supervision.
