Del Mar is currently seeking enthusiastic, hospitality minded Outdoor Seasonal Captains to join our team!
Del Mar is Fabio Trabocchi’s celebration of Spanish seafood cuisine on the waterfront of the Wharf. The restaurant was entirely designed in Spain and assembled by a team of Spanish artisans to celebrate Spanish craftmanship and lifestyle. The menu offers a range of traditional and seasonal Tapas, Catalan-Style Charcoal Grilled Entrees, as well as the must-have Signature Paella.

Seasonal team members will only staff outside work areas on all weather-permitting business days. If you would like to be a part of a growing restaurant group and work with some of the best hospitality and culinary professionals in the city, we would love to meet you!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Conducts daily patio inspections.

• Sets up assigned section sections (tables and stations) according to floor plan and layout standards.

• Polishes glassware, china, silverware and utensils needed in section.

• Presents and explains menus to guests.

• Provides food and beverage recommendations to guests.

• Takes food and beverage orders.

• Assists in marking tables.

• Conducts tableside preparation when applicable.

• Serves and announces food and beverage orders to guests.

• Keeps track of guest waiting times and dining statuses.

Qualifications:

•  Must be at least 21 years of age.

•  Must be able to communicate in and understand English.

•  Must be friendly, outgoing and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

•  Must possess basic math skills and have experience operating a POS system.

•  Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

•  Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

•  Must be able to work at a rapid pace and multi-task while maintaining attention to detail.

•  Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift at least 50 pounds.

•  Must be able to work in outdoor environments for total duration of shift.
