Deerfield Golf Club is Hiring an Event Sales Manager Near Newark, DE

Deerfield Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity for an experienced Event Sales Manager. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service.

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Manager:

  • Solicits new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals. Method of sales may include, but are not limited to: telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, sales presentations, property tours, customer meetings, travel to key markets, and written correspondence.
  • Prepares written correspondence to customers, internal booking reports, and ensures proper maintenance of sales files.
  • Prepares reports such as annual sales plan, monthly sales report, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts, etc.
  • Participates in and may conduct meetings such as but not limited to: staff meetings, daily business review, pre-convention and yield management.
  • Works with other departments within the resort to provide quality service to customers.
  • Attends trade shows, community events, and industry meetings.
  • Responsible for attending training
  • Monitors business volume and plans accordingly
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Minimum Qualifications for the Sales Manager:

  • Associate’s degree (AA); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Hotel Management, Marketing preferred).
  • Sales experience
  • Working knowledge of food and beverage

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
