POSITION SUMMARY – Responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure the buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT— Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Clean offices, meeting rooms, and recreational facilities
• Mop tile and concrete floor areas
• Vacuum all carpet and rugs
• Dust all fixtures and furniture as required
• Wash and disinfect all wash room floors, toilets, toilet seats, and hand dryers
• Clean all mirrors
• Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed
• Empty waste baskets and trash cans
• Clean all entrance and exit glass doors
• Keep outside area near entrance and exits clear of snow, cans, paper, etc.
• Clean and wash all drinking fountains
• Wash walls of grease and fingerprints where needed
• Perform minor maintenance repairs
• Report damage or vandalism
• Spot clean walls and toilet partitions
• Keep chemicals in a secure storage and inventory
• Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Establish, maintain, and foster cooperative working relations with others
• Ability operate facilities related equipment as needed
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Graduate, GED, or HSDE preferred
Experience: Any janitorial or custodial experience would be an advantage; Experience doing so in a production environment preferred
Computer Skills: Must demonstrate computer literacy
