Dedication Counseling LLC is Hiring a Mental Health Clinician Near Lanham, MD

Duties

  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with mental health conditions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
  • Monitor and document patient progress and behaviors
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
  • Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of mental health disorders (ICD-10) in documentation
  • Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive outcomes
  • Support patients in developing coping skills and strategies for managing their mental health
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and staff
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to inform treatment planning
  • Knowledge of social work principles and practices
  • Experience in child and family counseling (if applicable)
  • Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping

Qualifications

  • A valid graduate/master level license practice under supervision as a Mental Health Counselor, or Clinical Social Worker, in the state of Maryland
  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related field
  • Experience working in a clinical setting, providing individual, family, and couples therapy services
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to address clients’ needs
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice models and ability to blend interventions into client care
  • Ability to independently diagnose clients based on DSM criteria, and use evidence-based interventions to treat clients with mild to severe mental health issues
  • Experience providing trauma-focused care is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of clients efficiently while adhering to deadlines and state regulatory requirements
  • Willingness to participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development is required

Pay: $46.98 - $52.64 per hour
