Under generalsupervision performs a variety of cleaning and custodialdutiesincluding daily cleaning and supplying of bathrooms offices andotherassigned areas in accordance with standard procedures.

Usescleaningdevices such as wet mops wringers duster vacuum cleaner andothernecessary tools products and supplies. Removes trash toappropriateareas.

Dust furniture walls machines andequipment.

ESSENTIALDUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES :

1.Empties waste baskets and removestrash.

2.Dusts surfaces that collectdust.

3.Vacuums carpeted floorsurfaces.

4.Damp wipes and cleansfurniture.

5.Cleans walls windows and polishes metalsurfaces.

6.Cleans and polishes metal surfaces and porcelain fixturesinbathrooms.

7.Replenishes restroom consumablesupplies.

8.Dry and wet mops hardsurfacefloors.

9.Maintains and stocks janitorial closet at alltimes.

10.Picks up trash on a regular schedule during the shift or as neededforspecial pickups.

11.Ensures that equipment is kept clean and reports any malfunctionsorsafety hazards to thesupervisor.

12.Follows established procedures for the use of chemical cleanersandpower equipment in order to prevent damage to floors andfixtures.

13.Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers topreparecleaning solutions according tospecifications.

14.Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs oradditionsto building operatingsystems.

15.Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaningandmaintenanceduties.

16.Clean windows glass partitions and mirrors using soapy waterorother cleaners sponges andsqueegees.

17.Responds to special requests from manager or customer forspecialevents or other extra cleaningrequirements.
