DecoPac is Hiring a Sanitation Technician Near Fife, WA

Primary Function: Clean and sanitize processing areas in the plant and in non-processing areas of the facility to meet Quality Control and Bacterial Standards delineated within the Food Safety and Quality Management system. Clean and sanitize the plant quickly and efficiently during the plant's normal production shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties: This information is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Team member may perform other duties as assigned.

  • Clean and sanitize processing facilities depending upon need and the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures.
  • Follow all Company SOPs.
  • Work safely with the chemicals used in the cleaning process.
  • Ensure all chemicals are used at proper concentrations.
  • Complete all sanitation and required GFSI documentation.
  • Adheres to all company GMPs and Safety policies.
  • Wash and maintain buckets and containers in the Mixing & Basing Rooms.
  • Perform seasonal grounds duties including snow removal, trash pickup and leaf removal.
  • Maintain all sanitation related equipment including but not limited to automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, foamers, cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Clean, sanitize and stock supplies in restrooms daily.
  • Sanitation Technicians are also required to perform seasonal ground keeping duties as needed.
  • Remove trash and recyclable materials from the production areas

Level of Supervision Responsibility:

None.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Documentation skills.
  • Must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew, under stressful conditions, and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per their supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated by the employer.

Physical Activities:

Sanitation Technicians will be working around large processing equipment in which chemicals will be used to complete the sanitation process. They will also be required to work in an environment that is wet, very humid, and undergoes extreme temperature changes, from very hot to room temperature. Work environment also may be dusty and noisy. Lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day is required. Standing, walking, bending and stooping through the entire day are also required. Pushing and pulling pallet jacks occasionally and as needed. Use of standard office equipment to document completed tasks.
