Concepts
Mid-level Creatives will work under the guidance of an Associate Creative Director or a Creative Director to develop concepts and directions for creative ideas, campaigns, and executions. This will require them to make conceptual and stylistic decisions, including prototypes to illustrate their idea to other members of the team or management. This work can be done in conjunction with teams they’re reporting to or working alongside.
Daily Workload
Decoded mid-level creatives must have the ability to work on more than one project at a time. This includes abiding by timelines, receiving direction, and collaborating - all with a great eye for detail.
Client Presentations & Presentations
Depending on circumstances, Mid-level creatives may be asked to attend client meetings. Sometimes it’s for experience and observation, other times it will be to present concepts. It’s expected that a mid-level creative will be able to clearly communicate an idea in a formal client setting and conduct themselves in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
Staying Curious
Staying current and up to date on the latest social media “happenings” is important for mid-level creatives (whether it's a new platform, a TikTok trend, art, music, film, lit, or thought leadership on media, tech, and creativity). While mid-level creatives are hired for their skills, at Decoded, we also value their POV, and how they can apply their original thoughts and experiences to the ideas we create for our clients.
As mid-level creatives grow their skills and experience, it’s important to show initiative and curiosity to continue learning and polishing their craft. Beyond demonstrating interest for the world that surrounds them/us, we appreciate the self-starter, always curious, never-not-learning approach.
Mid-Level Creatives should be sponges for learning. Using the skills they’ve already acquired in their few years of experience while also constantly adding new skills that can be gained through daily work, mentorship, and agency learning opportunities. This position also requires reliable employees who enjoy a challenging and fast-paced work environment.
