From opening our Nashville retail store to launching pop ups in Newport Beach and Venice Beach, VICI is increasing its retail footprint to bring more awareness to the brand. Summary/Objective:
The Copywriter will own the tone of voice, copywriting, proofreading, and execution of product copy across our website. Develop concise and enticing product names, and practical product descriptions to inform our customers about the pieces in our collection and create an engaging customer experience. The Copywriter is responsible for supporting product launch operations and working collaboratively with the marketing, merchandising and site teams. This position will create the narrative around new products and push the brand forward through smart, engaging copy that inspires and informs consumers. Responsible for crafting the voice of the product across email and social media.
Essential Functions:
•Deliver strategic, engaging, concise, and accurate Ecommerce product copy
•Following overall brand voice and tone guidelines, write creative copy for all new products that inspires and engages consumers on apparel that ties back to the monthly merchandising themes and trends.
•Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising teams on the creation of product descriptions by debut date.
•Differentiates products through effective but engaging product-driven storytelling.
•May conduct brand, category, product, and competitive research to develop strategic recommendations around marketplace positioning, product benefits, and consumer behavior.
•Enrich product descriptions and incorporate best practice SEO copywriting to optimize search results.
•Ensure all products have the correct information, including garment composition, measurements, and care instructions, carrying out checks once the product is live.
•Be a go-to writing resource for email and social copy in the marketing organization, reviewing or drafting copy as needed.
Maintain a strong strategic relationship with channel partners to stay up to date with developments in strategy, goals, testing projects, data and analytics, and e-commerce sales and traffic performance.
•May perform other duties as assigned in support of the overall success of the company.

•Significant experience writing product descriptions for fashion or lifestyle brands in-house or agency.
•Strong sense of trends both in style and culture - from fashion to art, design, and lifestyle.

•Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals.

•Skilled at communicating clearly both verbally and in writing.
•Excellent problem-solving skills: willingness to think out-of-the-box to resolve issues.
•Ability to apply creative writing to daily work; demonstrates passion for fashion and styling.
•Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Mac and Google products, and standard applications (Slack, Office365, Chrome, etc.). and Shopify.
Work Environment:
•Works in an indoor office/home office environment, temperature controlled.
•Sit for long periods, standing and walking intermittently.
•Use office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, printer.
•Occasionally lift or pull up to 20 pounds.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's Degree in related field (or equivalent work experience)
•3-5 years prior experience in ecommerce/retail copywriting
•Demonstrated experience with website technology and Shopify required.
•Netsuite experience a plus.
•Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently, and communicate verbally and in writing at a professional level.
Expected Hours of Work: FT/Hybrid
$80,000 - $85,000 a year
