Deckman Company is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative

Deckman Company is a locally owned and operated manufacturer’s representative and stocking distributor of HVAC equipment.

For over 100 years, we have provided our customers with a vast array of products from our Fan & Roof Equipment and Air Distribution lines to our Duct, Pipe & Fittings, Dampers and Sheet Metal Accessories as well as HVAC Mechanical products.

Inside Sheet Metal Sales

Deckman Company is seeking an Inside Sheet Metal Sales Representative focused on providing our customers with quality support as well as assisting our outside sales team. You will be responsible for taking phone calls for customer questions, processing orders, project releases, technical assistance and recommendations to customers, warranty claims, and project quotes. Teamwork is paramount for joining Deckman Company.

Responsibilities are listed below:

  • Understand commercial HVAC products and have a general concept of applications to assist customers
  • Works with our represented manufacturers to determine lead times, track orders on projects, etc.…
  • Work in a team environment to determine how to best serve our customer’s needs
  • Willingness to learn and attend factory educational sessions
  • Support outside sales team
  • Willingness to problem-solve, think creatively, and address issues proactively
  • A track record of exceptional customer service is a necessity for this job

Credentials are listed below:

  • A High School Diploma is required (A college degree is preferred)
  • HVAC Industry experience is preferred
  • Inside sales experience is preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication is critical
  • Essential Skill: Has strong computer experience specifically in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and is willing to learn new programs
