deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Senior Network Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description: deciBel Research, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in a significant project supporting the design, buildout, and management of a DoD facility on RSA.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing engineering and technical expertise for the development, deployment, and integration of robust and high availability networks supporting multiple enclaves at various classification levels.
• Leading network architecture design efforts for the facility, encompassing equipment selection, installation, integration, and testing.
• Collaborating closely with project leads and engineers to synchronize and document network design and implementation, ensuring rigorous configuration control.
• Assisting the facility transition from a development to operations environment, providing networking expertise for IT help desk support .
• Supporting cybersecurity accreditation, vulnerability assessments, and RMF package development.
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining network equipment components, including switches and routers (fiber and copper), network performance monitoring tools and applications, network boundary protection solutions, and any network optimization tools and applications.
• Managing and documenting intricate IP addressing and subnetting schemes, with proficiency in multicast address space.
• Designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based system architectures.
• Configuring, deploying, and managing COMSEC (Communications Security) measures.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related technical field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience Requirements:

• 10 years or more experience in network engineering, including the following:
  • Active IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security ), or higher.
  • Experience with classified facility communication cabling infrastructure requirements.
  • Experience with planning, designing, and executing network hardware infrastructure installations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network monitoring, diagnostic, and analytical tools.
  • Self-starter, with a proven ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Broad working knowledge of network protocols.

Special Skills Desired:

• Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.
• Experience working with COMSEC encryptors (TACLANE, RASKL, VIPER).
