Deceuninck North America is Hiring a Continuous Improvement Engineer Near Monroe, OH

Deceuninck North America is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer for its Monroe, OH facility. This is a highly analytical role is responsible for the constant review of manufacturing processes to identify Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities that will result in increased efficiency, cost savings, or Customer satisfaction through measurable KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). This position will also require the use of advanced Six-Sigma tools (DMAIC), 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process FMEA and Capability studies.
Core Responsibilities: 
  • Seasoned Kaizen expert capable of finding realistic solutions to complex problems by leading teams.
  • Builds training materials and trains business on top lean principles.
  • Work with management to identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.
  • Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
  • Works collaboratively with Executive Leadership team to foster a CI culture, identify improvement opportunities and utilize LSS tools to define root cause and corrective actions.
  • Co-ordinate the implementation, monitoring and review of CI training records and organizational processes at all levels.
  • Assist with ongoing development and implementation of effective process improvement systems, policies and procedure.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders.
  • Managing staff cohorts and teams of various sizes.
  • Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes.
  • Experience in leading organizational change, especially in a manufacturing environment.
  • Participate in the CAPEX budget process for DNA, together with the finance and maintenance team, prepares CAPEX budgets for future year(s).
  • Manages contingencies between multiple projects and monitors interdependencies and synergies where required.
  • Secures, leads, motivates, and inspires the internal and external resources required to effectively deliver programs and projects.
  • Communicates project plans, status, and risks to key stakeholders via various communication methods
  • Lead status meetings for programs and projects with department leads and internal customers.
  • Facilitate risk mitigation and resolution of highly complex issues.
  • Is data driven, providing thought leadership into the development of systems, tools, reports, and key metrics (budget to actual, on-time performance, cost, and productivity) that will improve the team’s ability to gather business insights in order to develop and drive strategies, solutions and manage performance more effectively against goals.
  • Leverages strategic relationships to influence at all levels of the organization. Liaises with business units and collaborates with stakeholders to develop and implement consensual decisions.
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing plant; plastic extrusions highly desired and successfully managing CI projects.
  • Proficient knowledge of Lean techniques and concepts such as 5s, SIPOC, SWOT, Process Maps, Value-stream, Kaizen, Kanban and SMED. 
  • Statistical analysis experience using software to analyze trends, capabilities such as Minitab, SAP-BI, Power-BI, Tableau.
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Must have excellent Communication, Presentation, Problem solving and leadership skills to deal/adapt within several complex situations.
  • Must have excellent project management skills in software such as smartsheet and Microsoft projects.
  • Previous policy/procedure development experience required.
  • Proficient in MS programs.
  • Experience with analysis and interpretation of data gathered from Manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Comfortable with public speaking, developing training visuals.

·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or similar
