TRANSPORTATION AIDE, Full Time, Decatur Manor

Decatur Manor, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF), in Decatur, IL, has an Immediate Opening for a Transportation Aide.

$17 - 17.50 per Hour with benefits!

This is a Full Time position, with a Monday - Friday, 8-4 : 30 Schedule with rare exceptions we may need you come in a little earlier or stay later based on our residents' needs.

• The Ideal candidate an excellent driving record and is capable of driving a van. You'll be driving our residents to appointments;
• reminding them the day before to be sure to shower and be ready to leave on time; accompany resident to the actual appointment;

and keep the van neat and clean.

Responsibilities of the Transportation Aide :

Schedule appointments for consumers

Transport consumers to Dr. appointments, etc.

Load / Unload baggage, assist consumers in and out of vehicle

Practice safe driving habits

Keep vehicle clean and presentable

Must be willing to pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting, if needed and a Motor Vehicle Report

Requirements :

Requirements of the Transportation Aide :

High school diploma

Must have valid driver's licence and Safe Driving record

Experience driving a 12 passenger vehicle preferred

CNA Certification preferred

Great communication skills

Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding of individuals with psychiatric illnesses
