Deacons Tavern at The Best Western Plus is Hiring a Line Chef- Best Western Plus Hotel (Deacons Tavern) Near Clarks Summit, PA

Deacons Tavern in Clarks Summit, PA. is a newly reopened and reorganized restaurant looking for team players to join our culinary BOH staff.

Our work environment includes the following:

We are looking for friendly and energetic individuals to work Tuesday through Sunday, mostly evening shifts.

Restaurant type:

  • Casual Tavern Fare/Growing Banquet Services

Shift:

  • Afternoon

  • Weekend

Weekly day range:

  • Weekend availability
  • Ability to work scheduled events

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Clarks Summit, PA 18411: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
- Handle food safely and ensure proper food storage
- Utilize knife skills to efficiently prepare ingredients
- Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes
- Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining cleanliness and organization
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth food service operations
- Assist with catering events and serving meals as needed
- Follow dietary guidelines and restrictions when preparing meals
- Contribute to the overall success of the kitchen and dining experience at Deacons Tavern within Best Western Plus Hotel

Qualifications
- Solid experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service
- Proficiency in menu planning and meal preparation
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Culinary background with strong knife skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience in catering and serving is a plus
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous

These qualifications will be essential for success in the role of Line Chef at the Best Western Plus Hotel (Deacons Tavern).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
