GIS Technician:

This position performs data management and mapping and provides field support to Geographic Information System (GIS) applications by collecting and verifying GIS data. Work includes data entry for the GIS and preparation of mobile devices for field crews. Essential job functions include but are not limited to creating data layers within GIS software, executing mapping functions, inputting data for GIS applications, analyzing construction drawings, and working with technically advanced equipment, computers, and software. Requires an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Drafting, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in water, sewer, and/or stormwater construction and design or other GIS applications or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
