The CNC Operator is responsible for performing the following:
Machine Setup: Set up CNC machines by installing and aligning tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to job specifications.
Programming: Load CNC programs into machines or enter program codes manually to accurately execute operations.
Operation: Operate CNC machines performing various operations and produce parts within tolerances.
Monitoring: Monitor machine operations, adjust settings as necessary, and inspect parts to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make adjustments or repairs as needed to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, tool changes, inspection results, and production counts.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering, production, and inspection teams to resolve any issues related to machining processes or part quality.
