Daytona Glass Works is Hiring a CNC Operator Near Daytona Beach, FL

Daytona Glass Works, LLC. is a technical quartz company that has been in business in the Daytona Beach area since 1999. We are an extremely family oriented company and genuinely care about all of our employees and their families. We are currently accepting applications for an entry level CNC Operator in our manufacturing facility. Most positions have the potential to become permanent, depending on individual performance. This is an entry level position. Experience is a plus, but not required. For it's full-time employees, Daytona Glass Works offers a 4 day/40 hour work week, competitive compensation rates, PTO accrual from day one (2 weeks of PTO accrual in first year of employment), and one of the most generous benefits packages you'll find in the manufacturing industry, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, 401k, FSA, HRA, and 7 paid Holidays (Including what we refer to as Super Bowl Monday!).

The CNC Operator is responsible for performing the following:

  1. Machine Setup: Set up CNC machines by installing and aligning tooling, fixtures, and workpieces according to job specifications.
  2. Programming: Load CNC programs into machines or enter program codes manually to accurately execute operations.
  3. Operation: Operate CNC machines performing various operations and produce parts within tolerances.
  4. Monitoring: Monitor machine operations, adjust settings as necessary, and inspect parts to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  5. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged components.
  6. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make adjustments or repairs as needed to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  7. Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, tool changes, inspection results, and production counts.
  9. Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  10. Collaboration: Coordinate with engineering, production, and inspection teams to resolve any issues related to machining processes or part quality.
