As a Service Technician you will perform all general apartment and facilities maintenance under supervision of the Service Manager and/or Community Manager in a manner which ensures overall customer service satisfaction and optimum property performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Ideal Candidate:
  • You will be aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct any unsafe condition.
  • Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Community Manager or Service Manager.
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair, as directed.
  • Completes all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor.
  • Must have the ability to interact effectively with prospects, residents, peers and management.
  • Maintaining the leasing office and all recreational and common area facilities.
What you’ll need to Succeed:
  • A clear understanding of business concepts, processes and the principles of strategic thinking
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of multifamily operations including people management, financial reporting, problem-solving, sales, maintenance and resident relations.
  • Must be able to access all apartment homes and parts of the community to show the home to potential residents; inspect all areas of community, etc.
  • Ability to visually inspect apartment homes, grounds, and other aspects of the community to determine that standards are met
  • Knowledge in maintenance to include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, painting, drywall, buffing and waxing, use of power tools (pools and irrigation systems where necessary)
  • Ability to speak, listen, read and write English with sufficient proficiency to maintain a safe environment, which is a business necessity, as further detailed above.
  • Must provide own tools where applicable
  • 1-3 years of experience in Property Management
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • HVAC certification Preferred
