*Average Pay is $50k-$75k; (DOE) Commission

Englewood, Ohio (must live in the Dayton area)

Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

We are seeking a highly motivated and competitive Insurance Sales Producer to join our team and drive the expansion of our business. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively seek out and acquire new clients, understanding their specific insurance needs and offering tailored solutions. By building strong relationships, your aim will be to facilitate business growth and enhance our firm’s reputation in the market. As an Insurance Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in promoting our insurance products and services. This will involve engaging with potential clients, showcasing the benefits of our offerings, and effectively closing sales. Additionally, you will actively contribute to our marketing efforts and stay updated on industry trends to provide informed recommendations to clients.

What the position offers:

  • Small, family/community-oriented office
  • Business casual dress code (no jeans)
  • Pay Structure: Stipend paid out years 1-4, decreasing each year; starting pay of stipend is $50k-$75k depending on experience
  • Commissions are paid in addition to the stipend and pay flips to commission only after year 4
  • You can expect to start earning commission in about month 3- and first-year commissions are likely around $10k
  • Year 4 commissions are in the $60k range for an average producer
  • You are paid as a 1099 contractor for your entire tenure
  • Commissions are split 50/50 with the house and are paid the same for new business and renewals
  • In the office with some hybrid flexibility once you are up and running; facetime in the office is important

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and implement effective strategies to sell new insurance contracts or adjust existing ones
  • Contact potential clients and create rapport by networking, cold calling, using referrals, etc.
  • Appraise the wishes and demands of business or individual customers and sell suitable protection plans
  • Collect information from clients on their risk profiles to offer them the proper solution
  • Prepare reports to shareholders on the success of your business endeavors
  • Retain continuous awareness of transactions, sales, and terms and keep relative records
  • Check insurance claims to solidify trust and safeguard reputation

Who we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Licensed Insurance Sales Representative (Property & Casualty) is STRONGLY PREFERRED
    • if no active P & C license, must be willing to obtain
  • Good comprehension of insurance plans including homeowners, auto, commercial, and life insurance
  • Ability to work with computers and understand and interpret standard statistical findings
  • Goal-oriented and energetic
  • Excellent skills in communication and presentation
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships
  • The company expects the sales rep. to generate their own leads to grow their business organically (You will not be given a book of business or leads to call)
  • You will be expected to attend networking events, chamber events, etc.
