Job Purpose and Overview

The Procurement Analyst I is tasked with overseeing and administering contracts within SAP, creating, and sustaining essential departmental reports and tools, and analyzing both internal and external data to support crucial sourcing and supplier decisions.

This is a hybrid position with the requirement to be on-site at our Jackson, MI home office for a minimum of 3 days per month with a travel commitment of upto 20%.

What You'll Do as a Procurement Analyst I at Dawn Foods?

  • Perform continuous contract management.
  • Maintain contracts in SAP ECC with a high degree of accuracy, & timeliness.
  • Investigation of blocked invoices & pricing discrepancies.
  • Create, maintain, and publish accurate critical department reports including spend, purchase price variance (PPV), commodity price forecasting, cost optimization, payment terms, supplier relationship management (SRM), vendor rebates, & Key account/national account volume & contract management.
  • Become a subject matter expert and support procurement processes such as source to contract & procure to pay (I.e., maintain source lists in SAP ECC, support master data governance, new item & supplier set up, supplier payment terms, etc.)
  • Analyze internal trends such as volume, demand, price, and service level to help make critical sourcing & supplier decisions.
  • Analyze price trends and assess their impact on future activities, continuously develop market knowledge, and assess suppliers based on organizational key performance indicators.
  • Support critical supplier relationship management.
  • Other duties or assignments as needed.
  • Demonstrates the "Dawn Values" of Team Dawn and supports the Circle of Excellence.

What Does It Take to be Procurement Analyst I at Dawn Foods?

Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, operations management, finance, accounting, or related discipline required.
  • Direct experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to synthesize, analyze & present data.
  • Moderate/Advanced user skill level in Microsoft Excel
  • SAP ECC, MM, & S4 Hana or BI experience preferred.
