Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Eastern Fire is seeking qualified applicants for servicing and modifying automatic fire sprinkler systems.

Job Requirements

• Ability to work an unpredictable and ever-changing work schedule
• Valid driver s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, criminal background check and motor vehicle record check
• At least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to coordinate and work well with others
• Proven ability and track record of performing work in a timely manner and meeting deadlines
• Ability to lift up to at least 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders
• Not afraid of heights
• Strong mechanical background preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment

Job Responsibilities

• Installing pipes including steel overhead sprinkler piping, wet, dry, pre-action and deluge, fire pump, standpipe and hose systems, CPVC, and copper residential.
• Installing and servicing valves, devices, and trim for system risers, alarm valves, dry pipe valves, pre-action and deluge valves, backflow prevention devices, and sprinkler system.
• Fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping, fixtures, and equipment for fire sprinkler systems.
• Cutting, threading, grooving, and bending pipe to specifications
• Attaching pipes to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or welding equipment.
• Inspecting and testing installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
• Planning installations or repairs according to the conditions encountered.
