We are looking for another accountant to join our team! We are small size public accounting firm looking for the right candidate to join our Staten Island office.

Located in the New Dorp area of Staten Island we will be opening our second office in Pennsylvania later this year! This position is unlike any other accountant position in that it allows you to engage in various different types of projects currently going on with our firm, one of which includes the development of a 163 Acre learning center. We also have 24/7 security offered by She-Ra, the office’s 100-pound German Shepard.

Job Duties Include:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting guidelines
• Reviewing and filing all payroll records with the appropriate jurisdiction
• Reviewing and filing necessary sales tax returns and ensuring they are compiled accurately
• Preparation of monthly and yearly corporate closeouts
• Preparation of individual/corporate/trust tax returns

Skills

• Excellent organizational abilities as well as attention to detail
• Knowledge of MS office suite and relevant computer software
• Experience with QuickBooks is a must
• Experience with Proseries/Lacerte a plus

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
