Overview
DataPath is looking for 2 qualified Engineering Intern candidates for Spring (Jan 2024) and 2 qualified intern candidates for Summer (May 2024) to join the Engineering Team.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in Systems Design and Analysis in either electrical or mechanical specialties. This position is based out of the Duluth, GA facility. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position and is not conducive to taking courses simultaneously during the working semester.
Knowledge and Responsibilities:
Systems Design and Analysis
Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
Creates schematics, BOMs, drawings, and engineering specifications.
Create electrical one-line diagram of panel board schedule.
Perform electrical calculations for short circuit analysis and voltage drop.
Ambitious, self-driven, results oriented with great communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving ability while reacting to changing situations, & championing issues to resolution
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ansys or CFD Experience a plus.
Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements.
Collaborates on, and writes, Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports, CDRL/SDRL deliverables, and other technical documentation.
Experience with SolidWorks® or other CAD-based mechanical design program preferred.
Enrolled in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a Related Subject Technical Field
Completed at least one full year of college (rising Sophomore)
Must be available for full-time work (40 hrs/wk) during rotations. This position is not conducive to taking courses simultaneously during the working rotations.
