Datadog is seeking a Staff Tax Accountant II who will join our growing Tax team. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for supporting the global tax function. The Staff Tax Accountant primarily supports tax compliance, accounting, research, and planning for direct, indirect, and employment taxes on a global basis. The Staff Tax Accountant demonstrates the ability to learn and adapt quickly, meet deadlines, as well as have spreadsheet and other technology skills.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare ASC 740 income tax provision and other tax accruals
• Prepare income, franchise, and sales/use tax returns for federal and state jurisdictions
• Support external business partners in the preparation of local corporate tax compliance in international jurisdictions
• Assist with the monthly accounting close process and prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts
• Assist with audits by the tax authorities and internal financial audits
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, tax, finance or related field
• 1-2 years corporate tax experience, with working knowledge of ASC 740 a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, experience with ERP systems a plus (Netsuite)
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines, as well as work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in analytical, accounting and documentation skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
