Data Intensity is Hiring a Senior Manager of Database Administration Near Hyderabad, IA

 As a Senior Manager of Database Administration, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's database systems. Your role will involve managing a team of database administrators, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the availability, security, and performance of critical data infrastructure. With your expertise in database management, leadership skills, and technical acumen, you will play a crucial role in driving the organization's data management strategies and initiatives.

Together with:

• Lead and manage a team of database administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.

• Develop and implement strategic plans for database management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems, including data models, schemas, and storage structures.

• Ensure the security and integrity of databases, implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and backup and recovery processes.

• Monitor database performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, and optimizing query execution.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide database solutions that support business objectives.

• Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to maintain data quality and compliance with regulations.

• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in database management, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.

• Manage database projects, including capacity planning, database upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.

• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and provide professional development opportunities for the database administration team.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

In combination with:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with progressively increasing responsibilities.

• Strong expertise in database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

• Experience in managing and leading a team of database administrators.

• In-depth knowledge of database architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization.

• Proficiency in database security, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and privacy regulations.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

• Project management experience and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

You are the best candidate if you have:

• Certification in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate).

• Experience with cloud-based database services (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database).

• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Spark).

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.

• Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with database automation and scripting.

** Minimum 8 years of similar experience
