Overview

The Mammography department at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH has two clinical areas, screening and diagnostics. Special procedures such as needle localizations, image-guided core biopsies, and sentinel node injections are performed in the diagnostic area. The Breast Imaging division is a component of the Comprehensive Breast Care Program (CBCP) at DHMC.

We are seeking a per diem Mammographer to join the team to perform breast imaging as well as ultrasound and stereotactic-guided biopsy procedures. Biopsy experience preferred but not required. Breast ultrasound experience preferred but not required. They will assist in the technical orientation of cross-trained Radiologic Technologists and instruct them in complex or difficult procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical Mammography experience required.
• Minimum of an Associates degree from an accredited program; based on ARRT guidelines.

Required Licensure/Certifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, registered with the ARRT, in addition to certification in Mammography with the ARRT.
• Certification in Basic Life Support required.
• Maintains a second Mammography registry by annually accruing five ECE's specific to Mammography Education, as required by federally-mandated MQSA standards.
• Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire
