Dartmouth Health is Hiring a Remote Program Manager - New England Alliance for Health Remote

Overview

The NEAH Pharmacy Program Manager will provide support to New England Alliance for Health (NEAH) members helping them to realize GPO contract participation, primary distributor utilization, and savings opportunities. The NEAH Pharmacy Program Manager will also build and maintain relationships with NEAH Member Pharmacy Directors and their senior leadership, D-HH contracted GPOs and distributors, such as Vizient and McKesson, to facilitate business development activities and the delivery of customer service to our members. The NEAH Pharmacy Program Manager will capture and track NEAH progress and savings, regularly present findings and results, and recommend leading initiatives that bring further value to the Members and NEAH. Additionally, the NEAH Pharmacy Program Manager will manage the implementation of NEAH strategic initiatives and member-driven projects through developing strong relationships with D-HH and Member’s Pharmacy Directors as well as key vendor partners for distribution and group purchasing.

Responsibilities
  1. On behalf of NEAH Members, works directly with primary pharmacy distributors and group purchasing organizations and their representatives for price parity, contract accuracy, product allocations, savings initiatives, and product standardization opportunities.
  2. Collaborates with D-HH and NEAH members to ensure data integrity, accuracy and consistency of reporting and statistics. Provides analytical expertise by proactively identifying trends, patterns, gaps and insights in operational performance, staffing needs, productivity, to drive operational decision-making and align these to business strategies and outcomes.
  3. Works directly with D-H Contracting Team, Suppliers, Vendors, and NEAH Members to facilitate local NEAH contracting agreements and Alliance participation.
  4. Coordinates surveys of NEAH Members for participation in aggregation opportunities and analyzes and presents findings for decision support.
  5. Promotes and facilitates product and services standardization using all available data and resources across the Alliance to improve allocations and lower costs.
  6. Performs research by gathering data from a variety of sources (e.g. operational data, metrics, competitor information, feedback from business partners), creating accurate ad hoc and regular trend reports for departmental dashboards and status reports providing return on investment analysis and translating findings into financial terms to guide decisions within the department.
  7. Develops and implements standardized processes within D-H and across NEAH using continuous improvement.
  8. Leads the development and implementation of improvement efforts through team facilitation. Provides expertise in group processes, quality concepts and techniques; coach team members in the use of tools and techniques; and develops resources for use by managers and teams to improve operational quality measures, and facilitate a continuous improvement culture throughout the department.
  9. Serves as a key financial and technical resource for questions and information on NEAH financial data and statistics to operating departments to develop financial understanding and acumen across the team.
  10. Coordinates, prepares and distributes NEAH Business Reviews using spend analytics and tracking primary distributor and GPO savings.
  11. Analyzes and troubleshoots application and/or process problems of moderate to high complexity. Determines customer needs and identifies requirements and solutions for those needs.
  12. Solves practical to complex problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables. Defines issues, collects data, and establishes facts. Determines conclusions and recommends viable solutions.
  13. Assists in implementing automated processes, analyzing results, overseeing multidisciplinary re-engineering, and evaluating outcome and quality.
  14. Manages small-large projects from inception through completion including developing, executing, and monitoring work-plans.
  15. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, health care administration, Public Health, Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field with 5 years of systems experience, or the equivalent in education and experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience in the concepts and applications of quality improvement required.
  • Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies to lead change or the equivalent in education or Lean Six Sigma certification required.
  • Prior project and/or program management experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills with demonstrated skills to scope and analyze cross functional problems and generate/implement solutions.
  • Demonstrated research, problem solving, analytical, critical thinking, and relationship management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Excel and database navigation
  • Proficient with computer applications, including data entry software, word processors, process flow technology, and reporting platforms.
