Darby Law Firm is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal Near Montgomery, AL

Preferred Candidate:

You have experience with AlaCourt, AlaFile, Lexis, PACER, CollectMax (JST), Quickbooks, Excel. You have experience preparing Small Claims, District Court, and Circuit Court collections lawsuits. You must be a proficient typist.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Litigation Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, drafting, and litigation support.

Duties:
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assist with case preparation and management
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Negotiate settlements when appropriate
- Participate in all aspects of litigation, including hearings and trials

Experience:
- Experience in legal research and writing
- Proficiency in Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in litigation support is a plus
