High School Art Teacher

Reports To: Building Principal
Role & Responsibilities:
Provide opportunities for students to appreciate art and develop their artistic expressions, while helping young students work and share collaboratively and to develop a strong sense of respect for self and others.
Collaborate and integrate with faculty across disciplines to build meaningful curricular connections.
Assess student performance/work and communicate feedback to students and families regularly through district-designated evaluation procedures and protocols.
Plan and present art displays and exhibitions designed to exhibit students work for the school and the community.
Align Content and instruction to the Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Frameworks and district scope and sequences.
Abide by state statutes, school board policies, district handbook, and regulations.
Remain current by participating in ongoing professional development activities within and out-of-district, such as instructional technology.
