The Organization: 

Edelman’s continued evolution as the leading communications consultancy will require paramount focus on product development (technology and services) that leverages data and AI to transform its own and its client’s businesses. To achieve this vision, Edelman is building a critical new AI driven division that consists of four primary departments. Each department has a specific role and responsibility in the development, delivery and deployment of AI and data solutions across Edelman and the communications industry. 

Product Strategy & Consulting is responsible for the transformation and optimization of Edelman's and its clients' workflows and processes using AI and data. This department works with all the global practices and sectors of Edelman to design the automated workflows and identify where AI and data can be injected into the workflows. Product Strategy & Consulting also oversees client consulting, offering a range of services from AI and data education to data partner identification to business transformation and design of systems integrations. Product Strategy & Consulting will be led by a new Executive Vice President (EVP), who manages a team of consultants and experts. This role’s chief lieutenant (role described below) will be a Senior Vice President (SVP) who will initiate and oversee the internal transformation of Edelman. 

The Role: 

We are seeking a visionary strategist, connector, and results-driven SVP to lead our internal efforts in partnership with our global teams to shape the future of AI, data, and software in the work of communicators worldwide. 

You will be responsible for operating throughout the firm to automate and optimize the workflows and analytics of all critical organizations at Edelman, as well as the injection of data and software and ROI driven strategies into the process. 

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive internal strategy aligned with the company's overall vision and goals. Drive innovation in workflow, data, and AI investment to revolutionize how Edelman operates internally, goes to market and provides value to our clients. 
• Tactical Leadership: Design, recruit and oversee a team of consultants and specialists able to work with departments as disparate as finance, strategy, and healthcare to guide their evolution. Insinuate yourself and your team deeply into the workings of the teams. 
• Business Development: Serve as the subject matter expert to evangelize the new solutions to Edelman teams and provide charismatic vision and structure to dialogue with them and ecosystem partners. 
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to synchronize efforts and ensure a seamless design and delivery cycle. 
• Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and emerging best practices in AI. 
• Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of product strategy & consulting initiatives at the enterprise level. Regularly analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions and iterate strategies. 
• Leadership and Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team and foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
• Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with external partners, such as systems integrators, ISVs, and data suppliers.

• 8 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the earned industry, with a focus on product development and strategy, integrated media strategy and business development. 
• 2 years focus on the inclusion of AI in the work of communicators. 
• Bachelor's degree in a related field 

• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing AI related new product initiatives. 
• In-depth knowledge of industry trends, market participants, and emerging technologies. 
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders. 
• A visionary leader with a passion for communications, AI and new product development.
