Position: Engineering Technician

Position location: Greensboro, NC

Job Type: Full Time

We are looking for an individual who is innovative and able operate with minimal supervision. The Individual in this position will be responsible for aiding in the design, assembly, and testing of RF components evaluation boards for multiple applications. This includes but not limited to RF components designed for LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi and other RF standards. The candidate will also be responsible in building and maintaining the lab benches, test equipment, calibration, identify and order Lab tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be able to solder surface mount components on a PCB using a microscope.
  • Design, test, and tune RF circuit boards.Utilize system level software to operate and run customer boards. Software knowledge is a plus.
  • Collecting, plot, and document test results in organized reports to be shared with internal team and or customers
  • Utilize schematic and layout capture tools such as Altium, AWR, AutoCad, and Mentor Graphics to design evaluation circuit boards.
  • Utilize a documentation system for all information related to a PCB board such as schematic, Layout, bill of material, test plan and more.
  • Work from schematics, diagrams, and/or written or verbal instructions to assemble and test RF circuits and systems.
  • Setup, maintain, and calibrate all lab benches though a clear and documented procedures.
  • Tune RF circuits small and large signal to optimize RF performance on EVB and customer boards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • At least three (3 to 5) years of experience performing engineering technical support.
  • Proficient with operating lab equipment such as Network and Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, and waveform generators.
  • Semiconductor device testing experience is a must and excellent soldering skills.
  • Basic understanding of electronic component operation.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and Microsoft tools.
  • Knowledge in at least one PCB schematic and layout capture tool such as Mentor Graphics, AutoCAD, Altium, …etc
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder is preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
