Job Purpose

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the activities of the production floor, under the direction of the Lead Supervisor or Operations Manager and follow established procedures and approved processes
• Aligning shift schedules to include workstation assignments / rotations, employee vacations, employee breaks, training / coaching production line employees, and overtime assignments
• Coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion
• Supervise all shop floor operators on their respective shift
• Ensuring and encouraging a safe working environment by promoting safety and environmental compliance with all safety rules and procedures
• Assure 5S throughout facility
• Provide effective cross training for employees to assure the continuous smooth running of the department
• Administer ADP eTime / Payroll
• Perform constructive employee counseling when necessary
• Ensure that operators have accurately completed the production paperwork including process verification sheets
• Monitor production throughout the shift for problems and production levels
• Liaison to Team Leaders on all shifts (Coach, Lead, & Direct)
• Ensure that employee reviews are completed on time for both temporary workers and Dana employees

Job Duties and Responsibilities

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 3- 5 years' supervisory (or management) experience.
• Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling and shop operations
• This position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently
• Project Management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly complex setting
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing activities strongly preferred.
