Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is Hiring a Project Manager, Business Initiatives and Alliances (International) Near Boston, MA

Overview

As a member of the International Strategic Initiatives department within Business Initiatives and Alliiances, the Project Manager will provide project management support of growth initiatives, including partnerships with external entities and digital education programming. Reporting to the Senior Manager of International Strategic Initiatives, the Project Manager will collaborate with administrative and clinical teams at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and partner with peer institutions, in managing existing relationships and providing project support to new business opportunity identification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market analysis and research of potential business opportunities, including examining the healthcare landscape in country/region; prepare summary reports for senior leadership on market research findings
  • Develop briefing documents for Senior Leadership on potential partners, including development of talking points during executive-level meetings with external organizations
  • Responsible for managing the project deliverables for key strategic international and domestic collaborations which are outlined in the collaboration agreements
  • Manage day-to-day project operations including coordinating internal resources across all levels of the institution including Senior Leaders, Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Quality and Patient Safety Experts, etc.
  • Manage both internal and external project meeting schedules and facilitate meetings required to execute work
  • Develop routine progress reports on project status to internal stakeholders and to partner organizations
  • Manage time and effort tracking, revenue tracking, and document storage for key strategic collaborations
  • Lead the coordination of education and training programs, including virtual education programing, clinical observerships, clinical conferences and symposia, clinical shadowing experiences and virtual tumor boards with external institutions
  • Organize and facilitate international delegation visits, such as scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, preparing meeting materials, and overseeing day-of event logistics
  • Assist in planning leadership and/or clinical staff trips to international partner sites, including working with internal and external stakeholders to develop trip agendas, scheduling pre-trip meetings, and coordinating all travel related logistics
  • Maintain and manage project dashboards to track project status, activities, milestones, and timelines for internal and external reporting
  • Provide administrative support including booking travel, scheduling complex meetings, reserving rooms or venues, ordering food, and arranging for audiovisual equipment for internal and external meetings
  • Perform finance-related administrative procedures for processing faculty honorarium, travel reimbursements, and project and department-related expenses
  • Assist in preparing documents such as correspondence, reports, letters, presentations, discussion minutes, and materials for internal and external meetings
  • Support the planning and execution of other program development activities within each collaboration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s Degree such as MPH, MBA, MHA, MSPH or equivalent degree strongly desired.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in strategy, business planning, business development or project management in healthcare
  • Must be willing to travel internationally approximately 10% of the time
  • Ability to work effectively with executive, physician, nursing, administrative and ancillary staff; relationship building and collaboration with employees and managers
  • Exceptional communication skills; must possess the ability to converse effectively and prepare written proposals, analyses and other documents in a manner readily understood by and crafted for the target audience
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Publisher, Visio. Strong Excel
  • Strong client orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of structures and dynamics within matrixed institutions, as well as multi-institutional relationships and complexities
  • Strong project management skills required and ability to solve problems independently, and use independent judgment in making decisions as appropriate
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability to manage change
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to work within a team setting and foster collaboration
