Since 1967, Damar Services, Inc has been recognized in central Indiana, and throughout the state, as one of the largest not-for-profit organizations and a leading provider of specialty behavioral health and intellectual and developmental disability (I/DD) services at our facilities in Southwestern Marion County and across Indianapolis. The CMA will be responsible for the delivery of nursing services for our patients at the clinic.

Monday-Wednesday: 8a-5p

Thursday: 8a-6p

Friday: 8a-4p

• Reviews patient schedule each day and prepares for appointments by ensuring all necessary tests, supplies, and materials are available prior to patients arrival.
• Prepares patients for provider visits by taking vitals, asking screening questions, reconciling medications, and performing applicable tests prior to the provider entering the room.
• Administers vaccines, draws labs, completes in office testing, and makes referrals as ordered by the provider.
• Provides patient education related to diagnoses or health conditions as requested by the provider. Educational needs may include obesity, diabetes, smoking cessation, wellness compliance, immunizations, and more.
• Keeps the patient up to date on status of referrals, test results, and follow-up care.

• Follows established health-related procedures and policies for Damar Health Services.

• Complies with all policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Handbook and Damar Operational Policies and Procedures manual.

• Reviews client medical records for accuracy and ensures that documentation is completed accurately and timely.

What you need to be considered...

• Must be able to provide proof of CMA certification.
• Minimum of one year experience in a medical office setting.

• Strong phlebotomy skills.

• Knowledge of childhood immunization schedules.

• Minimum age of 21 per licensure requirements.
• Valid Indiana drivers license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damars insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).
• Must meet and maintain background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.
• No felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Physical : Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
