Accounting and Operations Support

Position Summary:

We have a variety of positions opened in the areas of Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Order Process, Order Status, Purchasing, and General Administrative Assistants in our Accounting and Operations Department. We are seeking exceptional candidates to fill these roles. All the positions listed provide significant and meaningful impact to the Company as they interact with all departments to include Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, Marketing, Warehouse, Production, as well as the Executive Team.

All work will be performed primarily in our Accounting and Operations Department located in Frederick, MD. Typical work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (however sometimes overtime and/or weekend hours are required when necessary). All candidates must pass a comprehensive background and drug test screening. Daly is a drug-free work place.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Ensure all tasks and assignments are being done timely and accurately.

· Prepare, review and issue relevant reports and perform account reconciliations to include month-end, quarter-end and year-end close tasks and reporting.

· Identify and present suggestions for process improvements.

· Follow guidelines for proper handling of relevant documents such as invoices, payables, sales orders, and or inventory records.

· Reconcile accounts to include relevant aging and general ledger with other applicable records.

· Collaborate and promote others to learn and help optimize departmental efficiencies.

· Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and trust in all aspects of the job by working towards self-development and be knowledgeable with industry best practices.

· Facilitate preparation of relevant reports and ensure proper recordkeeping.

· Maintain compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

· Provide reports and support to meet special requests, nonrecurring items, audit requests.

· Collaborate with Management on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation. Participate in testing and implementation of the Company’s new ERP system, as well as other related and necessary functions.

· Participate in projects as required.

· Other tasks or duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

· Demonstrate professional demeanor including superior communication skills.

· Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive deliverables and have exceptional organizational and management skills in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to follow directions and written SOPs with minimal supervision.

· Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.

· Analytical thinking ability.

· Precise verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who:

· College degree or 4 years of relevant experience in a business/accounting role.

· Must be very experienced with Excel (knowledgeable of pivot tables).

· Must know Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook.

· Be willing to take on tasks and assignments that are needed to assist in Company success; sees the needs before they become issues and works to help solve them.

· Exercise good judgement, common sense, and reasoning.

· Can effectively understand ambiguity, risk, and uncertainty; shifts gears comfortably (e.g., resetting priorities on the fly) and can make decisions and act.

· Previous experience in a consumer service or operations-type environment a plus
