Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, with experience in general ledger reconciliation and technical accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure all accounts balance correctly
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Conduct journal entries and maintain detailed records of financial transactions
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations
- Apply knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in daily tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related field
- Proficiency in technical accounting tasks such as account reconciliation and journal entries
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Excellent 10-key typing skills for accurate data entry
- Ability to handle general ledger accounting tasks efficiently
