Ore Valley Elementary School The Dallastown Area School District seeks a Part-Time, 10-Month Learning Support Paraprofessional for our Ore Valley Elementary School to play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success.
The work schedule is 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM, which includes 5.50 work hours and a half-hour unpaid lunch, on student attendance days during the school year. Paraprofessionals are able to enjoy the summer break!

• Working one-on-one or with small groups of students as directed by the teacher
• Aiding in supervision of students
• Performing routine clerical work
• Assisting teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises
• Assisting with personal and group needs of students
• Working with instructional media, office machines, and equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years of post-secondary study (48 credit hours or more), Associate’s Degree or higher, or High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) and ability to meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a state or local assessment.
• Child-centered, warm, and receptive to children
• Ability to carry out oral and written communications/instructions and work cooperatively with others
• Acceptable record of attendance
