Brief DescriptionAdministers immunizations, obtains medical histories, collects specimens, and provides education and counseling to clients.

Detailed DescriptionAdministers vaccines and other injections to children and adults in the clinic andor home setting. Conducts patient education and counseling. Functions as preceptor for co-workers and students. Obtains medical histories and performs physical assessments. Performs other duties assigned.

Job RequirementsGraduation from an accredited high schoolGED Program. Completion of an accredited vocational school of nursing program. Licensed in the State of Texas to practice vocational nursing. No experience required. Must be able to perform specialized nursing skills. Must posses the ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods. Must possess reliable transportation to make field visits. Must posses the ability to lift and transport clinic related supplies.
