Job Overview:
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the overall safety and well-being of employees, visitors, and the workplace environment. You will develop, implement, and oversee safety programs and policies, promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. The Safety Engineer will collaborate with various departments to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and communicate safety policies and procedures in compliance with organizational local, state, and federal regulations.
• Ensure that safety policies align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
• Create and conduct safety training sessions for employees to increase awareness and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
• Work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
• Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses.
• Analyze root causes and develop strategies to prevent the recurrence of incidents.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans.
• Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness for various emergency scenarios.
• Establish effective communication channels for safety-related information.
• Regularly update employees on safety issues, initiatives, and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety processes and initiatives.
• Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of safety improvement measures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as a Safety professional or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in safety-related disciplines (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
• Proficient in Google suite
