Managing, developing, and motivating the stockroom team, making sure they understand the importance of stockroom processes and safety.
Make sure parts are allocated to correct departments to reflect the correct budget for each department.
Run weekly report for requisitions to replenish the stockroom and analyze usage to determine the right quantity is ordered.
Enter requisitions manually in SAP and work with purchasing agent to ensure a timely delivery.
Ensure stocks are adequate and stored in a manner that preserves their quality.
Coordinates maintenance needs for departmental operations.
Reconciles cycle counts to ensure correct inventory levels and ensure the entire stockroom is counted four times a year.
Provides cycle count reports to management and responsible for reaching management’s goals.
Analyze parts usage and cost to make recommendations regarding slow-moving and excess stock.
Keep good working relationship with all vendors.
Obtain price quotes for machinery and spare parts from several vendors to compare prices.
Support management with stock accounting paperwork including weekly, monthly, and yearly cost reports.
Review open orders in SAP to resolve any receiving errors.
Review invoices and compare to the transaction in SAP to ensure invoicing for vendors is kept up to date.
Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.
Interviews applicants and trains employees as needed.
Education And Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field, preferred.
Advanced computer literacy (especially Microsoft Excel).
SAP experience preferred. Inventory management.
Ability to control inventory flow from the suppliers into the plant.
Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs workflows and procedures.
Creative - Able to think outside standard practices and find new ways to create cost effective solutions.
Experience:
Requires 1-5 years operations experience and/or 1-year supervisory experience.
Inventory Control role preferably in a manufacturing company, preferred.
