DSG is seeking a Distribution Development Trainee in Minnesota. The Distribution Development Trainee position is a 12 month program designed for new graduates or people seeking internship and training opportunities and would like to kick-start their careers by allowing the exploration of many of the roles and segments that DSG has to offer, choose a path of interest, and train for a career at DSG! Employees in this program will experience immersive on-the-job training and introduction to various careers within DSG, such as Sales, Warehouse, Project Management, Leadership and more! During this learning opportunity, we will identify your strengths and work towards your career goals while you experience hands-on instruction needed to learn all aspects of the business. The Distribution Development Trainee will get the opportunity to travel to all the branches in our region, learning from our employees throughout the duration of the program. This experience will give you the competitive advantage to qualify for many positions within DSG and enhance your business acumen while gaining comprehensive distribution experience that will prepare you for a key role in the industry.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Distribution Development Trainee:

Preparing sales quotations to teams, our distributors, and our customers
Communicating with distributors and contractors
Learning through product and process training
Traveling to assigned sales areas to listen, learn, and collaborate
Performs other duties as assigned

A Successful Distribution Development Trainee Typically Has:

[Is a] Graduate of a 4-year program
Strong commitment to growing and developing your skills and product knowledge
Excellent relationship building skills
Ability to travel to different locations within our geographic footprint
Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and communication skills across a variety of settings (in-person, phone, and email).
Strong attention to detail, paired with the ability to multi-task.
A knack for active listening to determine customer needs and maintain strong relationships.
A high proficiency with computers
The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively.
