Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinate compliance, certification and recertification activities with domestic and international agencies.
• Develop and manage certification project schedules for compliance related activities.
• Participates in cross functional teams to launch new products, product modifications, resolve issues, and support product improvements.
• Assist engineering with defining certification project scopes and schedules.
• Provides support for manufacturing quarterly inspections, laboratory certifications and field compliance issues.
• Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs

Nature & Scope:

• Takes direction from senior and lead compliance engineers
• Manages certification project with direction
• Answers technical question with direction
• Works within well-defined instructions

Knowledge & Skills:

• Understanding of National and international standards that define safety and regulatory requirements for HVAC products preferred
• Project management skills
• Team working skills – must be able to obtain results collaborating with a diverse team
• Customer focused – must create and maintain positive relationships
• Excellent Communication Skills - Written & Verbal, able to interface with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with software including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

Experience:

• 0-3 years of experience with domestic and international compliance and certification programs
• Experience with HVAC/ Refrigeration/ Combustion/Gas Furnace preferred

Education/Certification:

• BS – Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Major

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing and laboratory environment. Work may involve lifting materials up to 30 pounds. Machinery, tools and operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose-fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
