Purchasing and Inside Sales Representative

Position Overview:
The Purchasing and Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in managing procurement activities and supporting sales efforts for the company. This position is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating with vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Additionally, the role involves assisting the inside sales team in promoting and selling the company's products or services to customers.
Purchasing:
• Responsible for maintaining sourcing pipeline, benchmarking data and on-time metrics.
• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors and suppliers for various goods and services needed by the company.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to MRP needs to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
• Plans, schedules, and manages orders to ensure timely delivery
• Directs supplier actions to mitigate delays
• Upload purchasing information to update and maintain the vendor database accurately (including supplier assessment).
• Maintains communication channels with supply chain – weekly meetings with European factory teams
• Serve as back-up for order helpdesk. Quotes deliveries for sales requests
• Performs price analysis for commercial products
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, price increases, proportions, and percentages.
• Award and administer purchase orders to suppliers/subsidiaries.
Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring excellent service and effective communication; paying special attention to the PPNA factory personnel
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, accounting, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
• Foster positive relationships with customers by delivering exceptional customer service and promptly addressing their needs.
• Adheres to and participates in continuous improvement
• Heightened sense of urgency and responsiveness
Market and Product Knowledge:
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and product knowledge to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Conduct market research to identify potential new vendors, products, or services that align with the company's goals.
Reporting and Analysis:
• Analyze sales and purchasing data to identify areas for improvement and optimize cost-efficiency.
• Develop and monitor supplier performance (KPI); ensure best practices and business rules are respected
• Oversee and maintain inventory; analyze key inventory control measures to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years work experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or inside sales.
• Strong diligence and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant business tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
