 Branch Manager - Jackson Memorial Hospital Branch

Location:

Summary:

To develop and maintain a team spirit among branch personnel through effective coaching and counseling. Ensures that the staff is adequately cross-trained. Promotes job satisfaction by instilling pride and value in a job well done. Oversees and manages the day-to-day operational, sales and administrative activities of the branch. Acts as a liaison between the Branch employees and Senior Management.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Sales Management:
    • Coaches and develops employees of the branch to provide efficient and courteous service to our members.
    • Consistently meets or exceeds service expectations through the evaluation of mystery shop and Quality results.
    • Conducts regular sales meetings to communicate individual and branch sales results to goal.
    • Expands member base through in-depth knowledge of products, services and selling techniques.
    • Establishes rapport with the member base.
    • Develops, implements, and monitors the Business Development plan and its results.
    • Provides guidance and coaching to branch sales personnel
    • Develops individual and branch sales goals, monitoring performance to budget and adjusting the sales plan to achieve highest results.
    • Supervises staff, building a team spirit among personnel with the purpose of regularly achieving individual and branch sales goals through effective coaching and counseling.
    • Communicates performance expectations to staff, monitoring performance to outlined plans.
    • Manages the Sales Management process by coaching and leading the sales process.
    • Refers qualified members to specialized sales forces such as the Dade Auto Desk and Dade Financial Services.
    • Develops marketing ideas to promote sales within the branch.
    • Regularly meets or exceeds assigned branch goals (loans, checking, new members, etc.)
  • Administrative Management:

    • Offers training opportunities to employees, including but not limited to teller, sales and product knowledge training.
    • Supervises staff to ensure accuracy on the front-line (teller transactions, opening accounts, processing loans).
    • Ensures that the branch is adequately staffed and that the branch schedule is reflective of traffic patterns.
    • Conducts Branch Audits and administers all security procedures; communicates all necessary operational changes to the staff and trains them on new operational procedures.
    • Regularly provides information/reports on activities and results within the branch to Management.
    • Monitors weekly time card and attendance issues.
    • Exhibits financial responsibility in the monitoring of income and expense levels; keeps overtime to a minimum and carefully evaluates the reversal of fees to our members.
    • Ensures that the branch is clean, orderly and organized, monitoring its general appearance and upkeep.
    • Manages interviewing, selection, counseling, training and development of employees.
    • Act as liaison between Management and employees.
    • Provides formal performance evaluations for staff.
    • Provides Management with feedback regarding sales initiatives and changing member needs.
    • Provides staff with positive feedback and corrective criticism by holding frequent development discussions.
  •  Operations Management:

    • Responsible for making sure that the branch is opened on time and that opening and closing procedures are followed.
    • Handles member complaints in a timely manner, ensuring member satisfaction.
    • Prioritizes member demands to provide maximum service level for all members.
    • Performs teller transactions i.e. deposits, withdrawals, payments, balancing functions, etc. as needed.
    • Has a thorough understanding of credit union loan products and handles all loan applications, including but not limited to accepting the loan application with all required information, preparing the loan for underwriting, and processing all of the loan closing paperwork.
    • Opens new accounts and process services such as debit cards and direct deposit.
    • Possesses a working knowledge of individual loan criteria, referring to Credit Analysts as necessary.
    • Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures, administering policies and procedures on an equity basis

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of two years management experience in a Financial Institution. 
  • Candidate must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with PC applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Minimum four year college degree or equivalent training/experience.
