Job Title: Financial Coordinator - Orthodontic Office
Position Overview:
As a Financial Coordinator at our orthodontic office, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient financial operations of our practice. The ideal candidate will possess experience in financial coordination, preferably in a dental or orthodontic setting. This position requires a keen understanding of financial processes, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service.
Responsibilities:
Financial Consultation:
- Conduct financial consultations with patients to discuss treatment costs, payment options, and insurance coverage.
- Provide clear and detailed explanations of financial responsibilities and assist patients in understanding their financial obligations.
Billing and Payment Processing:
- Generate accurate and timely invoices for orthodontic treatments.
- Process patient payments and establish suitable payment plans when necessary.
- Collaborate with insurance providers to verify coverage and facilitate claims processing.
Financial Records Management:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for all patients.
- Ensure the accuracy of patient accounts, including charges, payments, and adjustments.
Patient Communication:
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding financial matters, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Provide compassionate assistance to patients experiencing financial challenges, exploring available options and solutions.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare regular financial reports for management, summarizing key metrics and trends.
- Contribute insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Financial Coordinator, preferably in a dental or orthodontic setting.
- Knowledge of dental insurance processes and billing procedures.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Proficient in relevant software applications, including dental practice management systems.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a financial coordination role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
