- Trouble-shoot anddiagnose malfunctioning systems or components using the appropriate testingequipment to find and correct the failure.
- Install conduits, pullwire and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers,Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors and petroleum lighting
- Inspect electricalsystem and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes,project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Verify properoperation of the electrical system
- Advise management,customers, and fellow workmen when hazards are present and when electricalsystems are safe to operate.
- Work with project estimatoron material take-off, material cost, and labor allowances
- Must be able to useammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers to find problems andensure components are working properly
- Ability to usecommonly used hand and power tools including screwdrivers, wire strippers,drills, saws, and conduitbenders to run and protect wiring
- Must be willing to travel and work out of town
- High school diplomaor, GED
- At least 1 year ofJourneyman Electrician experience required
- Knowledge of National ElectricalCode
- Validdrivers license with a clean driving record
- Strongcommunication skills and customer relations skills
- Basiccomputer skills
- Goodwork ethic
- Knowledgeof Class 1, Division 1 wiring a plus
- Strong industrial back ground is a plus
- Tofrequently lift and/or move 75 - 100 pounds while performing necessary duties
- Workflexible hours and outside in all types of weather
- Workindependently and as a member of a team
- Createand maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization(peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)
