Cytek Biosciences is Hiring a Vice President, RUO Platforms Near Fremont, CA

SUMMARY:

To ensure Cytek’s market leadership, our Vice President, RUO Platforms will lead all aspects of product development, product marketing, market and competitive analysis, and strategic planning for Cytek’s instrument, software, and accessories for current and future RUO platform offerings. The incumbent will work cross-functionally across the company and with executive leadership to ensure alignment and achievement of company strategies, business objectives, and revenue goals.

Product Development

  • Lead portfolio planning process for RUO platforms space, ensure pipeline of products in development meets customer and target market expectations, and delivers upon market share, revenue, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure RUO Platforms team performs requisite VOC work, establishes clear customer and product requirement specifications, and drives execution of key product features in conjunction with R&D and PMO teams.
  • Ensure competition benchmarking of product offering is included in product requirements and prototype testing.
  • Consistently define new product concepts for Product Review Board’s review and approval for development.

Product Marketing

  • Chart and successfully implement a course for market leadership within the company-defined target markets.
  • Successfully lead the RUO Platforms teams. Develop, establish team and individual goals and objectives, set KPIs and targets, track progress with regular reporting to leadership.
  • Work with Marketing Communications on comprehensive global lead generation, promotion, technical marketing plan for new and existing products.
  • Work with scientific leadership to develop and maintain comprehensive KOL network within target markets and applications.
  • Work collaboratively with R&D, NPI, and operations on product refinements to ensure competitiveness and commercial excellence.
  • Plan and execute product launches, including all aspects of commercial and organizational readiness.
  • Work with Program Management Office to refine product development, product launch, and product refinement processes.
  • Establish, maintain, and report upon departmental expense budgets as established through annual operating planning process.

Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Develop, deliver, and maintain a market segmentation for the RUO platforms space.
  • Lead and conduct competitive intelligence; develop and deliver strategies to overcome customer objections.
  • In conjunction with scientific leadership, commission proof sources and technical content to support product claims, refute competitor talking points.

Strategic Planning

  • Lead fiscal year revenue planning and growth driver identification in conjunction with commercial, operations, and PMO teams.
  • In conjunction with strategic marketing, lead strategic planning process, competitive analysis annually.
  • Identify organizational gaps in capability, tools, process, and formulate plans to fill these gaps in conjunction with leadership.
  • Identify gaps in product offerings and ways to address through collaboration or partnership, working collaboratively with business development and strategic marketing,
  • Participate in Board of Directors, Scientific Advisory Board meetings as requested.


REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or other advanced degrees in relevant field, preferred.
  • 10 years of experience as a proven senior business / marketing leader within the biotechnology, biopharma, or medical device space.
  • 10 years of people management and leadership experience required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, and manage diverse, global, and cross-functional teams.
  • Motivated builder and implementor of new processes, tools, and capabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker with experience working successfully with all functional areas.
